How do you connect a Wireless Gamecube Controller to a Wii in order to play with it?

I've been looking everywhere. It doesn't give specific instructions on the box or anywhere online, but I've seen reviews and other things about playing gamecube games on the Wii, and using the Wavebird Wireless GC controller to play them. I just need to know how to connect the wireless controller to the wii, so it senses and whatnot. Thanks. (:How do you connect a Wireless Gamecube Controller to a Wii in order to play with it?
Well to be wireless the controller must have some way of connecting to the Console , so for the Gamecube , you will want to look at the top of the Console there should be a ';Small Plastic Door';at the top where you put the connecters for the controller , I Don't remember but if it has to go in the memory slot on the Gamecube than there should still be a input on the Wii for it.

I hope this helps in some way.How do you connect a Wireless Gamecube Controller to a Wii in order to play with it?
there is a cover for the gamecube ports on the top of the wii. plug the the receiver end of the controller into the 1st port and play normally
